Netflix and Globo Agree on 18-Title Brazilian Content Deal

Netflix has licensed 18 Brazilian titles from Globo, in the largest programming deal between the companies.

The package includes 14 films, three telenovelas and a TV series, with rights differing by title and territory.

I’m Still Here, Walter Salles’ Oscar-winning film, is included for Brazil only; Netflix has worldwide rights to Vitória, starring Fernanda Montenegro.

Netflix also acquired seven seasons of the comedy Vai Que Cola for Brazil, while India – A Love Story is licensed for the United States and Latin America.

The deal brings Brazilian films and television to Netflix audiences in several markets, with titles to be dubbed and subtitled in multiple languages.

The sources give different start dates: one says titles begin arriving in December, while the other says they will drop from mid-2027; both describe a rollout continuing through mid-2027.
