South Korean province prepares hearings for four agency nominees
South Gyeongsang Province’s council plans to hold hearings for four public-agency nominees during its session, which runs until Dec.
15.
The posts are at agencies including the provincial technology, arts and culture, investment and credit guarantee bodies.
The province has named nominees for two posts, while candidates for the investment agency and credit guarantee body have not yet been selected.
The scrutiny follows a September hearing in which the council found a credit guarantee nominee unsuitable, prompting the province to reopen applications for that job.
Council members say they will examine candidates’ expertise, leadership and integrity, and are inviting public submissions about two nominees.
