Patek Philippe Ref. 2499 to return to auction after 37 years

Phillips will hold its Hong Kong watch auction on November 21 and 22 at its Asia headquarters in the West Kowloon Cultural District.

The sale is built around Patek Philippe watches and includes a yellow-gold Ref.

2499, a perpetual-calendar chronograph.

The Ref.

2499 is appearing at auction for the first time in 37 years, according to Phillips.

The auction will also feature a pink-gold Patek Philippe Ref.

1518, described as the first mass-produced perpetual-calendar chronograph.

A one-of-a-kind Cartier Crash made through the brand’s New Special Order program is also among the lots.

Other offerings include a Rolex Daytona being auctioned for the first time and a Royal Oak Concept tourbillon made with artist KAWS.

Phillips says the sale has its highest combined pre-sale estimates of any watch auction it has held in Hong Kong; the auction takes place on November 21 and 22.
