Como coach Cesc Fàbregas praises Feyenoord ahead of Champions League match

Como coach Cesc Fàbregas is preparing for a Champions League match against Feyenoord in Rotterdam.

The game is only Como’s second appearance in the competition; the club won its debut match against RB Leipzig.

Como rose from Italy’s third tier to Serie A and finished fourth last season, earning a place in the Champions League.

Fàbregas, a former Spain international and Barcelona player, helped shape the club’s rise and chose to stay despite interest from major clubs.

He said he enjoyed watching Feyenoord because they play ambitious, attacking football, a style that is new to Como, which has mostly faced Italian teams.

Fàbregas said Como want to get a result, not just enjoy the experience of playing in the competition.

He also praised his friend Xavi’s work as coach of the Netherlands, saying it reflects Dutch influence while keeping the team’s own identity.
