Sony cancels Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble before global launch

Sony and developer Oh BiBi are ending Ratchet & Clank: Ranger Rumble, a multiplayer game for Android and iOS.

The game had launched in limited regions but will not receive the planned global release.

Its final update is due November 6, 2026, and it will be removed from app stores on November 21.

People who already have it installed can keep playing until the servers close on May 1, 2027, after which the game will no longer work.

The developers have not said why they are shutting it down.

In-app purchases have been removed, and players with leftover currency can spend it or seek a refund through Apple or Google.

The decision affects this mobile spin-off, while the last mainline console game was 2021's Rift Apart; no new Ratchet & Clank game has been officially announced.
