Heavy rain and thunderstorms forecast in four Turkish provinces
Turkey’s Interior Ministry issued a heavy-rain warning for four provinces based on the latest weather information.
In Muğla, local heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected in Ula, Ortaca, Marmaris, Dalaman and Köyceğiz.
Rain there is forecast to strengthen after evening, becoming very heavy or severe in some places.
Heavy showers are also expected in Muratpaşa, Aksu and Serik in Antalya, while western İzmir is forecast to get heavy thunderstorms after midday.
Western Aydın is expected to see locally heavy or very heavy thunderstorms after evening.
The storms could cause flooding, landslides and travel disruption, as well as lightning, hail, strong winds and waterspouts.
The ministry urged people to take precautions and follow warnings from the authorities.
