Everland’s twin pandas will move to China in December
Rui Bao and Hui Bao are twin giant pandas at Everland in South Korea.
They were born in July 2023 to Ai Bao and Le Bao, and are the country’s first twin panda cubs.
Their required quarantine begins on November 13 and lasts about a month, with limited visitor access during the process.
An agreement requires pandas born outside China to move there before they turn four, as they approach the age when they can breed.
The sisters are due to move to China in the third week of December, though the exact date and destination have not been decided.
Their last public viewing is planned for December 11, but the schedule could change depending on conditions.
Everland plans farewell events, including a zookeeper talk and online fan activities, before the move.
