Apple TV’s Nocturne follows a killer whose influence reaches beyond prison
Nocturne is a crime thriller set in rural Pennsylvania about an imprisoned serial killer, Jurek Walter, whose influence may reach beyond the psychiatric hospital where he is held.
A boy missing for three years turns up alive, while his sister remains missing.
Retired detective Jonah Lynn, who put Walter behind bars, returns to investigate, and FBI agent Saga Bauer goes undercover inside the hospital.
The mystery is how Walter could be linked to events outside prison, not simply who committed the crimes.
The series is adapted from Swedish crime novels and stars Stephen Graham as Walter, whose calm manipulation is central to the story.
Apple TV is releasing episodes weekly, giving viewers more of the investigation as the season continues.
