Nusantara Forum Promotes Investment Incentives and Overseas Partnerships

At the Mahakam Investment Forum in East Kalimantan, Indonesia’s IKN Authority promoted investment opportunities in Nusantara, the country’s new capital.

Officials described tax incentives, a one-stop permit service and INVESTARA, an online platform for exploring business opportunities.

Mayapada Hospital Nusantara’s director said the authority’s permit support helped the hospital move from construction starting in November 2023 to opening in October 2024.

Diplomats from several countries attended, including representatives of Belarus and Bangladesh.

Belarus expressed interest in expanding business ties, including cooperation involving potassium fertiliser, while Bangladesh highlighted opportunities to share knowledge about green urban development.

Organisers hope the discussions lead to investment that supports Nusantara’s development and East Kalimantan’s economy.

Nusantara is building a city; it is green and progressing quickly. Bangladesh and Indonesia are brothers and have many things in common, so we can cooperate and share knowledge that may help urban development in Bangladesh.
