Public transport in São Paulo will be free for Enem exam days

São Paulo is making public transport free for Enem candidates on the two exam days, November 8 and 15.

The benefit applies across the state from 9 a.m.

to 9 p.m., covering Metro and CPTM trains, intercity buses, the VLT and services run by named concessionaires.

Candidates do not need to show proof of school enrollment to use the free transport.

Enem is Brazil’s National High School Exam, and São Paulo will hold it at 2,682 schools in 222 municipalities.

The free rides are meant to help candidates reach their exam sites without paying fares.

A special security operation will also deploy about 7,000 police officers and 3,500 vehicles across the state.

Exam gates open at noon and close at 1 p.m., and the test begins at 1:30 p.m.; candidates should check their confirmation card for their venue.
