Pierce Brosnan warns son Paris about Hollywood as he makes acting debut

Paris Brosnan is making his acting debut in Seniors, a film released in US cinemas on October 23.

The 25-year-old, whose father is actor Pierce Brosnan, plays a teenager doing community service at a retirement home.

There, his character forms a bond with a resident played by John Rhys-Davies, a longtime friend of Pierce Brosnan.

Pierce Brosnan says Hollywood can be tough and unpredictable, and talent alone is not enough to build an acting career.

He says Paris will need to keep developing his skills through discipline, practice and study.

Paris is starting his career with guidance from his father, while also working with Rhys-Davies, whom he described as a source of acting lessons.

Seniors has begun its US cinema release, giving audiences a chance to see Paris's first lead role.
