Argentina completes delivery of six Bell 407GXi helicopters
Argentina has completed delivery of six Bell 407GXi helicopters bought by its Defence Ministry.
The final aircraft was handed to the Army at Campo de Mayo, near Buenos Aires, on October 20.
Three helicopters went to the Army and three to the Air Force, ending a delivery process that began in 2023.
The final aircraft, numbered AE-342, will join the Army’s V Mountain Brigade in Salta province.
The helicopters are intended for rescue, medical evacuation and transport, as well as firefighting and humanitarian aid.
Their navigation systems include digital terrain displays and alerts that can help pilots in mountainous areas and poor visibility.
The completed fleet is meant to strengthen emergency and military operations, and the contract also included training and maintenance support.
