Indonesia's Stock Exchange Evaluates Tax Break for Listed Firms

The Indonesia Stock Exchange has completed a study of a tax incentive for listed companies.

Firms that meet certain requirements can receive a 3% reduction in their corporate income tax rate.

The exchange says the study is part of a wider plan to expand access to capital-market funding for businesses.

It has launched an academy to help small and medium-sized enterprises strengthen their businesses and understand the process of going public.

The exchange is also working with the Ministry of SMEs and PT Surveyor Indonesia to help businesses access funding and prepare for listing.

No change to the tax incentive has been announced; the exchange has said it evaluated how effective it is.
