Xiong’an bonded zone sends first export shipment to Pakistan

Xiong’an bonded zone sends first export shipment to Pakistan

A subsidiary of state-owned China Minmetals sent its first export shipment from Xiong’an on November 3.

The goods, including air compressors and mineral-processing equipment parts, are bound for Pakistan.

The shipment was also the first use of export consolidation at Xiong’an’s comprehensive bonded zone, where smaller loads can be combined and cleared together.

Xiong’an is a new area in Hebei province, and the company registered there in May 2026 as part of a move of state-owned enterprises’ outward-facing operations.

Bonded zones offer businesses services such as bonded storage and links between the zone and ports, which can support cross-border trade.

The shipment shows how relocated companies can use Xiong’an’s trade platform.

The zone plans to improve its trade services and support more relocated businesses in expanding cross-border activity.
