MSCI to Review Indonesia’s Emerging Market Status in November

MSCI to Review Indonesia’s Emerging Market Status in November

MSCI will review its indexes in November 2026, including the MSCI Emerging Markets index.

The review covers seven indexes, among them MSCI World, MSCI USA and MSCI Japan.

Indonesia is currently classified as an emerging market in MSCI’s market categories.

In its August 2026 review, MSCI kept Indonesia in that category and made no changes to the country list covered by the relevant index.

MSCI also updated simulations to reflect planned changes to the methodology for its Climate Paris Aligned indexes.

Those methodology changes are due to take effect in the November review.

The November review will show whether the index provider makes any changes to the indexes it reviews.
