India-Sri Lanka ODI opener moved from Delhi to Visakhapatnam

India-Sri Lanka ODI opener moved from Delhi to Visakhapatnam

The BCCI moved the India-Sri Lanka ODI opener to Visakhapatnam from New Delhi.

The match is scheduled for December 13.

The Delhi and District Cricket Association asked for the change, citing concerns about Delhi's December air quality and renovation work at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

It also raised the possibility of weather disruption.

The move aims to avoid hosting the match amid those concerns, including a repeat of difficulties visiting players faced during a 2017 Test in Delhi.

The second ODI in Bengaluru on December 16 and the third in Ahmedabad on December 19 remain on schedule.

The series will then continue with three T20Is in Rajkot, Cuttack and Pune.
