Aramco’s adjusted third-quarter profit rose 9% as oil prices climbed

Saudi Aramco’s adjusted profit rose 9% in the third quarter, reaching $31.2 billion, the company said.

The Saudi state-owned oil producer earned more as higher oil prices lifted its earnings, despite lower sales volumes across its products, according to one account.

Brent crude averaged more than $90 a barrel during the quarter, as the Iran war fuelled fears of supply disruption.

Aramco announced a cash dividend of 82.1 billion riyals for the quarter, up 3.5% from a year earlier.

The company is a major source of revenue for Saudi Arabia, through energy sales and dividend payments.

Reports differ on how Aramco routed its oil exports amid disruption around the Strait of Hormuz, but both describe regional tensions affecting energy supplies.
