Sharad Pawar admitted to Mumbai hospital after discharge in Pune

Sharad Pawar was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday for further tests, his daughter Supriya Sule said.

The NCP-SP chief had been discharged from Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune earlier that day after two days under medical observation.

He was admitted there on November 2 after reporting cough and pleuritic chest pain, and doctors said his condition was stable and the discomfort had subsided.

The 85-year-old veteran politician was also advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to rest, travel less and pay attention to his diet.

Pawar thanked Modi and said he would rest, according to a close associate.

Doctors will carry out further tests in Mumbai, but no results or expected discharge date were given.
