Air Force member dies after fall at Alamodome before UTSA-Navy game

An Air Force member died after falling during a pregame rappel at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Saturday.

The demonstration took place before a college football game between UTSA and Navy, as part of UTSA’s annual event honoring armed forces and veterans.

The member was assigned to the Air Force’s 6th Combat Training Squadron, Detachment 2, and their name has not been released.

The member died at a local hospital after being injured at the stadium.

The fall delayed the start of the game, which UTSA won 38-34.

The incident is under investigation, and UTSA said it was arranging well-being support for people affected.
