Renault launches the updated Kwid in Mexico at the same price
Renault has launched the 2027 Kwid in Mexico with more equipment at the same price as the current model.
The compact car now includes six airbags in every version.
Since arriving in Mexico in 2019, the Kwid has sold more than 115,000 units and has ranked among the country's 10 best-selling cars four times.
Renault sees it as an affordable first step for buyers and a way to introduce them to the brand's wider range.
The company says it grew 17% in 2026, while the Mexican car market grew between 4% and 6%, and newer models account for a quarter of Renault sales excluding the Kwid.
The updated car is now supplied from Renault's plant in Colombia, with delivery to Mexico taking about six days.
Renault aims to keep the Kwid selling strongly while using it to support growth across its range.
