Flávio Bolsonaro cancels weekly livestream before election

Flávio Bolsonaro’s campaign canceled his weekly livestream on Thursday, three days before Brazil’s election.

His team said the reason was the birthday of his wife, Fernanda Bolsonaro, and made no public announcement about the cancellation.

The decision came amid a dispute with President Lula over opening their financial, tax and phone records, including information about relatives and close associates; they agreed to make the records available by the end of Thursday.

Lula had challenged Flávio to disclose the records, and Flávio initially refused before setting conditions for an agreement.

A Datafolha poll found the candidates tied at 50% of valid votes.

Flávio is due to take part in a Globo debate on Friday, where a new rule will keep the candidate who is not speaking at their podium after Flávio stood behind Lula during an earlier debate.
