Man dies after bus and car collide in Onomichi, girl critically injured
A bus and small car collided head-on on National Route 2 in Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture, on October 15.
The car was carrying a man in his 70s, a woman in her 60s and a five-year-old girl.
The man later died, and the girl was critically injured; the woman and the bus driver were also taken to hospital.
The bus was out of service and had no passengers.
The crash closed about 1.1 kilometres of road, and there was no estimate for when it would reopen.
Police are investigating what caused the collision.
