Rice food pop-up opens at Lotte Department Store in Dongtan
The Korea Rice Processed Food Association opened a rice-food pop-up on October 30 at Lotte Department Store’s Dongtan branch in South Korea.
It is in the basement’s food pop-up area and runs through November 5.
Eight of this year’s 10 Rice Plus-selected companies are taking part, displaying and selling their products.
Rice Plus is a selection programme for companies making processed rice foods.
Products include a low-sugar rice cake with Jeju mugwort, brown-rice snacks, rice noodles with clams and rice frying mix.
Some of the products have received government awards, including a new Prime Minister’s Award for the rice cake.
The pop-up gives shoppers a chance to see and buy the selected products before it closes on November 5.
