Woman seriously injured after scooter and car collide in Harlingen

A scooter and a car collided in Harlingen, in the Netherlands, shortly before 20:00.

A woman walking past the crash was seriously injured and taken by emergency transport to hospital.

One local report said she was taken to the UMCG; another did not name the hospital.

Two people riding the scooter were lightly injured and also taken to hospital.

The collision happened on Prinsenstraat, near Noorderhaven.

Police are investigating what caused the crash, and no cause has been established.
