Türkiye-South Korea trade reached $8.7 billion in the first nine months

Türkiye and South Korea traded $8.7 billion in goods in the first nine months of the year.

Their trade reached $11.4 billion in 2025, and the two countries aim to raise it to $15 billion.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to visit South Korea this month for talks on their relationship.

The planned discussions cover energy, defence, transport, infrastructure, technology, culture and tourism.

A free trade agreement has been in place since 2013, with agreements on services and investment taking effect in 2018.

Türkiye exported $920.3 million in goods to South Korea in the first nine months, led by pharmaceutical products worth $321.8 million.

The talks are intended to strengthen cooperation across several sectors, while 133,604 South Korean visitors travelled to Türkiye during the same nine-month period.
