Kim Ki-hyun and Lee Jun-seok to visit UK with other South Korean lawmakers
People Power Party lawmaker Kim Ki-hyun will lead a group of South Korean lawmakers to the UK for a five-day visit starting on the 16th.
The group includes Reform Party lawmaker Lee Jun-seok and People Power Party lawmakers Lee Cheol-gyu, Koo Ja-geun and Park Seong-min.
They are going to attend an assembly of the Asian Parliamentary Association for Human Rights, which works on human rights in North Korea and across Asia.
The lawmakers plan to discuss cooperation on North Korean human rights and regional refugee issues with parliamentarians from other countries.
Their joint trip has drawn attention as conservative unity has returned to debate in South Korea, though the visit’s purpose is the assembly.
Kim recently co-hosted a parliamentary discussion on party reform with independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon.
The group is scheduled to travel on the 16th and return after five days.
