Revolut launches personal loans for UK customers

Revolut has launched personal loans in the UK, putting the digital banking company in competition with major high-street banks.

The unsecured loans range from £2,000 to £25,000, with interest rates of 6.9% to 29.3% APR.

The launch is the company’s first credit product since it secured a full UK banking licence.

Revolut has about 14 million customers in Britain and has been expanding its banking services after years of seeking full regulatory approval.

Customers can apply and manage repayments in the Revolut app, and approved funds are typically transferred within minutes.

The service is initially limited to selected customers and is due to roll out in stages over several months.

Revolut also plans to launch a credit card in the near future and eventually offer mortgages in Britain.
