65-year-old man dies after suspected hit-and-run in Unterschleißheim
A 65-year-old man from Hessen died after being struck by a vehicle in Unterschleißheim, in Bavaria’s Munich district.
He was visiting family and was found on the road at about 6:15 p.m.
on Saturday near the junction of Carl-von-Linde-Straße and Wiesenweg.
Police believe he was hit while crossing by a possibly larger vehicle, but have not confirmed what kind of vehicle was involved.
The driver is still unknown, and it is not clear whether the driver knew the man had been hit.
Police are investigating suspected negligent homicide and leaving the scene of an accident; an accident analysis has been commissioned.
