Saudi Arabia adds public security services to Absher
Saudi Arabia’s Public Security director launched new services on Absher at a ceremony in Riyadh.
Absher is the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform, with separate services for individuals and businesses.
Individuals can now handle driving licence tasks and bid on motorcycle plates through the platform.
The services also cover issuing and renewing air rifle licences, transferring ownership and replacing lost or damaged licences.
Businesses can report accidents and manage several vehicle services, as well as obtain permits for fireworks displays.
The ministry says these digital services aim to save time and avoid in-person visits, as part of its effort to improve online services for citizens, residents and visitors.
Saudi Arabia has added several Public Security services to the Ministry of Interior’s Absher platform.
Public Security Director Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami launched the services at a ceremony in Riyadh.
Services for individuals include motorcycle plate auctions, driving licence printing and air rifle licensing.
Services for businesses include accident notifications, used-vehicle transactions and permits for fireworks displays.
The ministry said the digital services are intended to save time and reduce the need for in-person visits.
