Türkiye’s central bank to present final 2026 inflation report on Nov. 12

Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan will present the final 2026 inflation report at a briefing in Istanbul on Nov.

12.

The report will update the bank’s outlook for prices in Türkiye.

At its previous briefing, the bank raised its year-end 2026 inflation forecast to 28 percent.

It projected inflation would fall to 15 percent by the end of 2027 and 9 percent by the end of 2028, then settle at its 5 percent medium-term target.

In October, annual consumer inflation was 29.77 percent, and prices rose 2.58 percent from the previous month.

The figures matter because they show inflation remains high, while the bank’s forecasts point to a gradual decline.

Markets will next focus on the bank’s final 2026 rate-setting meeting on Dec.

10; in October, it cut its key rate to 36 percent.
