Qingdao forum urges closer cooperation among state, private and foreign firms

The 2026 China-Europe Entrepreneurs Qingdao Forum took place in Qingdao in Shandong province on October 27.

More than 300 businesses and organizations from China and abroad attended.

The forum focused on cooperation among state-owned, private and foreign companies to support innovation and high-quality development.

Speakers said state-owned firms can contribute resources and platforms, private firms market knowledge and new ideas, and foreign firms technology and international experience.

They also pointed to practical barriers, including difficulties in arranging investments and balancing risks and returns.

Speakers said the three types of firms need to combine their strengths to build stronger industries and develop projects together.

The forum has been held seven times, and organizers said it is a platform for opening up and supporting development in Qingdao.
