Plan de Corones adopts the Kronplatz Dolomites brand
The Plan de Corones area has introduced the Kronplatz Dolomites brand, unveiled on October 23 in the Italian Dolomites.
The familiar rooster logo will remain, though its design has been updated.
The new identity brings together tourism associations in San Vigilio/San Martino, Chienes, Brunico, Valle Anterselva and Valdaora.
The area wants to attract visitors in all four seasons, promoting activities such as hiking and cycling, as well as culture and local food and wine.
The plan aims to reduce reliance on skiing and improve visitor numbers during quieter periods.
Some people questioned the removal of the Ladin name Plan de Corones, but a local tourism director said Ladin identity depends on how people live and share it, not on a name or brand.
Plan de Corones has adopted the “Kronplatz Dolomites” brand, presented on 23 October at the Lumen Museum.
The new brand is intended to promote the area as a year-round destination and reduce its reliance on the ski season.
The existing rooster symbol, first used in 1975, remains in the redesigned identity.
The brand will represent a wider area that includes several local tourism associations.
Tourism officials say the strategy aims to strengthen winter tourism while improving visitor numbers in quieter periods.

Sta a noi sentirla e trasmetterla nel modo migliore all’ospite.
