Bosch plans to move Mobility and service units into separate subsidiaries

Bosch plans to move Mobility and three service areas into separate subsidiaries within the group.

The changes cover Germany and involve Bosch Digital, Global Business Services and Global Real Estate alongside Mobility.

Around 62,500 employees in Germany are expected to transfer to the new companies, with their employment contracts moving too.

Bosch says the structure is intended to give each unit more independence and speed up decisions.

The company faces stronger competition, especially from Asian rivals, and says it needs to bring innovations to market faster.

The subsidiaries are due to start operating on 1 August 2027, with the wider restructuring planned in stages through the end of that year.

Bosch says the new companies will remain part of the Bosch Group, while its central company will focus mainly on headquarters functions and central research.
