South Korea hosts first local business festival in Jeju
South Korea's small business ministry opened its first local business festival in Jeju on November 4.
The event runs through November 6 in Jeju's downtown area and brings together 140 local businesses from across the country.
Investors, major retailers and overseas buyers are also taking part to explore investment, sales and export opportunities.
The festival aims to help regional businesses grow beyond their local markets and reach customers and investors at home and abroad.
It also shares examples of businesses that have grown with government support, including through investment, sales and exports.
Over the next two days, the program will include discussions on local shopping areas, business networking and one-to-one meetings with overseas buyers.
