Neha Bora challenges Delhi Police peace-bond notice in High Court
AISA president Neha Bora has challenged a Delhi Police notice in the Delhi High Court.
The notice asks her to provide a personal bond of ₹10,000 and one surety to keep the peace during an inquiry.
Police issued it after detaining Bora on October 16 as she was heading to a protest march; she was released the next day.
The march was part of protests calling for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar to resign and raising demands over election rules.
AISA says the notice is unclear and factually wrong, and violates constitutional protections for freedom and personal liberty.
The group says the notice could curb the right to peaceful protest.
Bora’s lawyers are seeking an urgent hearing and will also appear before the Special Executive Magistrate to respond to the notice.
