Girbau to acquire German laundry systems maker Fintec
Girbau will acquire all of German company Fintec in a deal due to take effect on 1 January 2027.
Girbau is a Catalan family-owned maker of industrial laundry equipment, while Fintec develops systems for finishing, folding, sorting and moving textiles.
The companies have worked together for 20 years, and Fintec’s products were already part of Girbau’s industrial offering.
The acquisition will expand Girbau’s garment-finishing capabilities and better connect different stages of the laundry process.
Fintec will continue operating with its current team, while gaining more capacity to grow.
Girbau says the deal will strengthen its industrial capacity and international reach, and the purchase price has not been disclosed.
