Clayface Has No Mid-Credits Scene and Does Not Introduce Batman
Clayface is the live-action film debut of Batman villain Matt Hagen, a former actor played by Tom Rhys Harries.
The film has no mid- or post-credits scenes, and Batman is neither mentioned nor shown.
Batman still exists in this version of Gotham, but director James Watkins said the story is about Hagen, not the Caped Crusader.
Hagen’s shape-shifting condition began after Dr. Caitlyn Corr treated him with experimental nanobots that restored his face.
After taking revenge on people he believes wronged him, Hagen turns his attention to Caitlyn, who has feelings for him but is engaged to detective John Borrelli.
