Arada and Extopia launch Saudi property developer with 50bn-riyal land portfolio

Arada and Extopia have launched a property developer called Arada Saudi to build large communities across Saudi Arabia.

The partnership combines Arada’s experience developing communities with Extopia’s knowledge of the local market.

The company can access 10 million square metres of land valued at 50 billion riyals, including sites in Riyadh, Jeddah and Mecca.

Its first project is a 14-billion-riyal housing development in Riyadh’s Al Rimal district, covering about 2.5 million square metres.

The plan includes around 3,500 villas and townhouses, a school, shops, sports facilities and 100,000 trees.

Sales and construction are due to begin in 2027, and the company says it will work with government bodies on the project’s master plan.

The development is intended to support Saudi housing and quality-of-life goals, including efforts to make cities greener.
