Cards Stolen From FedEx Truck After Leaving PSA Facility

A FedEx truck carrying PSA-graded cards was burglarized after leaving a PSA facility in Southern California.

The stolen items belonged to collectors who had sent cards to PSA, or Professional Sports Authenticator, to have them checked and graded.

Grading confirms a card's authenticity and condition, and can affect how much it is worth.

Collector Sky-B said his submitted collection was worth about $100,000 and had been insured for up to $156,000.

PSA says it will compensate affected customers based on fair market value, up to the maximum insured value they chose for each item.

The company has deactivated stolen-item certificates and alerted marketplace partners to watch for rare and numbered cards.

PSA is working with the carrier and law enforcement as they investigate whether the cards can be recovered.
