Krafton unveils Ludi 0.2 robot AI in California
Krafton's Ludo Robotics unveiled Ludi 0.2, an AI system for robots designed to communicate and cooperate with people.
The company presented it at a robotics event at the University of California, Berkeley, and has opened a research centre in Palo Alto, California.
The new version is designed to better understand people's intentions, feedback and gestures, and respond when tasks or circumstances change.
Its predecessor, Ludi 0.1, could understand spoken instructions, keep track of conversation and adapt when a task changed.
Ludi 0.2 also links memory, reasoning, movement and object handling to help robots respond more smoothly in changing situations.
The goal is to make robots better at working with people in real-world settings.
Ludo Robotics is developing Ludi 1.0, which aims to bring environmental awareness, conversation and physical actions together in one model.
Krafton’s robotics research subsidiary Ludo Robotics unveiled Ludi 0.2, an AI system designed to help robots understand and cooperate with people.
The system was presented on October 30 at a robotics event held at the University of California, Berkeley.
Ludi 0.2 builds on the version released in August and adds capabilities including gesture understanding, memory and reasoning, and responses to social cues.
Ludo Robotics has opened a research institute in Palo Alto, California, and is developing a next-generation model called Ludi 1.0.
The company says Ludi 1.0 aims to combine environmental perception, conversation and physical action in one model.
