Indonesia plans Rp31 trillion in year-end economic stimulus

Indonesia plans four stimulus programs for the final three months of 2026, with a total budget of up to Rp31 trillion.

People aged 17 will be able to open a free bank account with Rp50,000 deposited.

The government plans to provide 10 kilograms of rice for three months to 33.24 million eligible families.

About 13.3 million workers earning Rp3.5 million or less are set to receive Rp300,000 per month, paid in one lump sum around November or December.

Travel discounts are planned for the year-end holiday period on flights, trains, ships and ferries, with about 6.6 million passengers expected to benefit from 17 December 2026 to 10 January 2027.

The discounts include reduced fares and some waived transport fees, and the programs are planned for the final quarter of 2026.
