Apple posts record September-quarter revenue as iPhone and Mac sales rise

Apple reported record September-quarter revenue of $114.5 billion, up 12% from the same period a year earlier.

The results were the first earnings report led by CEO John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook on September 1.

iPhone revenue rose 17% to $57.6 billion, even though the quarter included only eight days of iPhone 18 Pro sales.

Mac revenue climbed 24% to $10.8 billion, with Apple saying strong interest in AI helped demand for its computers.

Apple's first foldable iPhone, the Duo, is in short supply, and some delivery estimates extend into 2027.

Higher memory-chip costs are putting pressure on the company, while higher prices on several devices helped offset some of those costs.

Ternus said Apple is working to increase Duo supply, but the company cannot yet say when supply will meet demand.
