Judge removes two suspected informants from Febrie Adriansyah trial

A judge ordered two suspected informants out of a trial in Jakarta on Monday.

The hearing concerns alleged extortion and money laundering involving former Indonesian prosecutors’ official Febrie Adriansyah.

Febrie’s lawyer said the pair may have passed details about testimony in court to Lucy Kweek, who was due to appear as a witness in a later session.

The lawyer showed messages between one suspected informant and Lucy about whether the hearing had revealed Lucy’s communications with Ferry Boboho.

Lucy is said to have introduced property businessman Tan Kian to Ferry, who allegedly claimed he could help handle corruption cases involving state insurers Asabri and Jiwasraya.

Ferry and Tan testified as suspected intermediaries and payers in the case against Febrie.

The two people removed have not been identified in connection with the case.
