Red Wings Interim GM Says He Has No Interest in Trading Simon Edvinsson

Detroit Red Wings interim general manager Shawn Horcoff says he has no interest in trading Simon Edvinsson.

Horcoff said a trade is not something he is considering right now.

Edvinsson is a defenceman for the Detroit Red Wings.

Horcoff says he is prepared to do what it takes to sign Edvinsson.

The comments indicate the team wants to keep him rather than explore a trade.

The team has not announced a deal or provided further details about what a new agreement might involve.
