Sheinbaum denies Trump call and outlines plan to modernize health supply system

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum denied having a phone call with Donald Trump after a two-hour delay to an event in Campeche on October 18.

She said she had stayed longer elsewhere and that nothing extraordinary had happened.

At the event, marking work at an IMSS-Bienestar hospital in Ciudad del Carmen, she proposed digitizing and automating public health warehouses.

She said medicines and supplies can remain in storage even when hospitals need them, because paperwork makes requests slow.

She wants a system that tracks supplies and gets them to hospitals faster, using digital tools and modern logistics.

She said a team of young professionals and specialists from Mexican universities would help develop the plan, without hiring outside companies.

How is it that we cannot modernize the health system? And as President López Obrador used to say: I swear we are going to modernize the entire health system.

I want the warehouses to be first-class, everything digitized, everything automated, everything in its place. If they request a medicine in the afternoon, it should arrive.
