Dan Ticktum joins Fortescue Zero for Formula E’s 2026/27 season

Dan Ticktum will join Fortescue Zero for the 2026/27 Formula E season, keeping his place on the grid as the series enters its Gen4 era.

The British driver will partner fellow Briton Taylor Barnard at the newly formed team.

Ticktum had raced for Cupra Kiro for five seasons, but the team was not planning to retain him.

Fortescue Zero took over the license and assets of the former DS Penske operation after its partnership with DS Automobiles ended.

The Australian company previously acquired Williams Advanced Engineering and has supplied Formula E batteries and Pit Boost charging equipment.

The team will use Jaguar powertrains, and its preparations have included reported reliability setbacks with the new Gen4 package.

Ticktum has won two E-Prix races, while Barnard has also won in Formula E. The pair will make their debut together in 2026/27, with the team aiming to establish itself in its first season.
