Napoli seek first Champions League win of the season at Villarreal

Napoli travel to Spain to face Villarreal in their second Champions League group-stage match.

The Italian side lost 2?

No score is given for its opening defeat, which came against Arsenal at home.

Napoli have gone four European matches without a win, with one draw and three defeats in that run.

Their away record is also poor: they have not won in six European away games, drawing once and losing five.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri wants his team to take points but said Villarreal are difficult opponents and he has not settled on his starting lineup.

Injuries and players returning to fitness are shaping his choices, including whether Scott McTominay starts.

A result in Spain could restore confidence, while Napoli are seeking their first European win this season.
