Indian IPOs raise a record ₹2.23 trillion in Samvat 2082

Indian companies raised a record ₹2.23 trillion through IPOs during Samvat 2082, which ran from October 21, 2025, to November 6, 2026.

The total covered 375 mainboard and SME offerings on India’s primary market, where companies sell shares to investors for the first time.

Mainboard IPOs raised ₹2.12 trillion, up 19.6 per cent from the previous Samvat year, while SME offerings raised ₹10,826 crore.

Nearly ₹1 trillion came from new shares, giving companies funds directly, while the rest mainly came from existing shareholders selling their holdings.

Jio Platforms led the mainboard offerings, raising ₹30,188 crore, and 89 of the 131 mainboard IPOs ended their first trading day above their offer price.

Share performance later varied widely: based on adjusted prices on Friday, 87 mainboard listings were above their offer price and 43 were below.

The figures show strong demand for new offerings, but investors still need to assess each company’s earnings, finances and valuation; no next step is specified.
