Trail Blazers Sign Caleb Houstan to an Exhibit 10 Deal
The Portland Trail Blazers signed forward Caleb Houstan to an Exhibit 10 contract.
Houstan, a 2022 first-round draft pick, has played four NBA seasons with Orlando and Atlanta.
He is expected to join the Rip City Remix, Portland’s G League team, rather than take a regular-season roster spot with the Blazers.
Houstan shot 37.8% from three-point range in 186 NBA games, but averaged 3.9 points and 1.4 rebounds.
The contract could make him eligible for a bonus of up to $91,000 if he spends at least 60 days with the Remix.
A strong showing could make Houstan a call-up candidate for Portland, which has limited reliable forward depth behind starters Deni Avdija and Toumani Camara.
The Blazers have open roster spots, so no corresponding roster move is needed.
