Kai Rooney scores four as Manchester United U18s beat Burnley 6-0

Kai Rooney scored four goals as Manchester United's under-18 team beat Burnley 6-0 on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old, the eldest son of former United star Wayne Rooney, opened the scoring and added a penalty, a header and a fourth goal.

United moved second in the league after the win, with six victories from their first eight matches.

Kai joined the club's academy in 2020 and has also made his first appearance for its under-21s this season.

He is building his own football career while playing at the club where his father became its leading goalscorer.

Manchester United has recently given senior debuts to several under-18 players, including Chido Obi, Harry Amass and Shea Lacey.
